Meet Joy Coach Shannon

Hi, I’m Shannon, also known as Joy Coach Shannon.

I created The Higher Self Life as a place to reconnect with joy, intuition, and yourself in ways that feel creative, playful, and healing. My work blends energy readings with color, creativity, and curiosity. Working with me is a reminder that healing can actually be fun.

Right now, I offer Joy Drops, a monthly subscription that includes a channeled message for the current energies, a guided meditation, and a Heal by Numbers page to help you release stuck emotions and patterns. I also host Heal by Numbers workshops, which are fun, in-person group experiences using color and intuitive guidance to move out old energies that no longer serve you.

I create Day of You magazines, too. These are personalized magazines based on someone's birthday, designed to reflect the gifts they came into this life with. There's also a baby version, which makes a really meaningful keepsake or gift. Another joy-filled offering I create is Soul Snacks, which are surprise channeled frequency art pieces paired with a Higher Self message and a Psychic Jukebox song. These are playful, intuitive, and fun to receive from my Joy Booth vending machine.

I have been professionally working with energy and intuition for over two decades. My work has evolved so much over the years, but what stays consistent is that joy is powerful, creativity helps us listen, and you already have all of the wisdom inside you. My role is to help you reconnect with it in a way that feels safe, grounding, and of course, fun! Laughter belongs in healing spaces.

If you’re looking for guidance and healing experiences that feel warm, personable, and playful, you’re in the right place.

A Few Playful Things About Me

  • I love colorful, quirky socks. Even if no one sees them, they make me happy.

  • Cats hold a sacred place in my heart. My favorite tarot deck is Cat Tarot.

  • I collect oracle and tarot decks like some people collect mugs. If you’ve got a favorite, tell me. I’m always looking for new ones.

  • When someone tells me their birthday, something unlocks. I start to see soul patterns, life cycles, and timelines that want to be acknowledged.

  • Creativity fuels me. I’m happiest when I’m painting, writing, or channeling a meditation with music in the background and my cat nearby.

  • I love cozy cafés. Give me a quiet booth, a warm drink, and a blank page, and I’m in my flow.

  • Everyday life becomes more fun when I turn it into a game. Whether it’s folding laundry or grocery shopping, I’m always looking for ways to bring play into it.

  • And yes, I once tried stand-up comedy in a real comedy club. I tripped, fell on my back, rolled onto the stage, and made the whole room laugh. The tequila wasn’t the best idea, but the laughter was worth it 😉
